CORI (Criminal Offense Record Information) checksÖ

Part of the rich fabric of Kane School is its generous and dedicated volunteers. To ensure the safety and well-being of all Marlborough Public Schools faculty, staff, students and community, Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) checks must be done on all volunteers before they are permitted in our schools.

If you are interested in volunteering in the school or serving as a chaperone on a field trip, you must have a current, successfully run CORI on file with the Marlborough Public Schools Human Resources Office. A CORI is considered current for 3 years from the date it was successfully run, and it is good districtwide. You do not have to have a CORI done for each school.

Since the CORI process can take up to two weeks, it is important to complete a CORI form as soon as possible, especially for field trips.

If a successful CORI has not been processed and is not current, you will not be allowed to be a chaperone on a field trip.†

Complete a CORI for NOW, then there will be no question later in the year when you want to be involved or go on a field trip.

To complete a CORI form, please bring a current, valid driverís license to the the Human Resources office at the District Education Center and plan to spend 3 minutes filling out a short form.
