Welcome back!
The last two weeks in August were a flurry of activity in the Marlborough Public Schools as teachers prepared their classrooms for the new school year. Shown is Kane fourth-grade teacher Samantha Marcin putting the finishing touches on her bulletin board about “Miss Nelson,” the main character from the book “Miss Nelson is Missing” by Harry G. Parents: Starting with the 2012-13 school year, the district implemented a standards-based report card system. These report cards differ from those in the past; the new report cards reflect the Common Core standards embedded in the district’s new curriculum. Feedback on the report cards will be collected periodically to identify and develop revisions as needed. To access a parent pamphlet on the standards-based report cards, click:  English - Portuguese - Spanish. To access a glossary of terms and phrases, click: EnglishPortugueseSpanish.
